Sean is focused on supporting and enriching Community Life events for residents. Prior to joining First Place, he was a site coordinator for Playworks Arizona, working with numerous school districts to introduce the power and benefits of play to K-8 students.
This aligned with his previous job while earning his Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Mass Communication from the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism at Arizona State University: Sean was an intramural manager at the Sun Devil Fitness Center where he created sports leagues and hosted events for students. Upon graduation, he started on a much different path: working as a grip, coordinator and electrician on film sets in Hollywood. He entered the nonprofit world when he felt a call for something more meaningful.
